Kids Programs

The 10:00 a.m. Sunday school program here at LifeSpring is called L.I.F.E.: Living In Faith Everyday. That is the goal of our program. We want to teach our children how to incorporate the lessons of the Bible into their everyday life.

“…and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and men.”
John 2:52

We found a great curriculum that will help accomplish this goal called 2:52 Basics (for kindergarten through 5th grade). 2:52 Basics’ materials are built around three basic truths: I need to make the wise choice,I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. The children will learn through worship (music and prayer), teaching, games, activities, story time and more.

The preschool curriculum is called LIL’K from Kidmo. LIL’K is an interactive multimedia-based curriculum for ages 3 to 5. Each 5-week series includes: Conversation Stations (activity centers to give kids a fun and inviting environment in which to play, learn and be introduced to concepts from the lesson), Teaching (each video series joins Lil’K, and host, Kai on a journey of discovery as we explore the lesson objective of the day), Song Time (kids will participate in a sing-a-long worship song. Kids can sing, jump, shout, move and worship through song), Remember Verse (the bible verse is presented with fun, memorable movements), Knock, Knock (kids review specific teaching points and bible characters in a fun, engaging way) and Group Activity Time (kids participate in fun, active, bible-learning activities that reinforce the lesson objective, and a craft too).

Childcare is available for babies and toddlers. We provide a safe and caring environment for our little tots. The nursery is available for babies up to 18 months. The toddler room is available for children 18 months to 3 years.

Kids Helping Kids was started to teach our children about the joy of giving to others in need. We also want our children to know that they have the power to make a difference in someone else’s life. We encourage parents to support their children with their giving ideas. Several times a year we challenge the children to go out into their community to raise money, collect items of clothing, etc. By going into the community the children are also raising awareness about people in the world that need a helping hand. Children have sold cookies, hosted garage sales, collected winter hats and mittens, and much more to help other kids in need. Money raised has been used to buy school supplies, scholarships, and medicine for underprivileged children in Joliet and Haiti.

Children will practice every Sunday immediately following service, and will perform during the main service many times during the year (including special Palm Sunday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas performances).
