As we see lives changed around LifeSpring, and as we touch the poor in our backyard and in Haiti’s Grande Anse River Valley, there is another mission we are simultaneously pursuing: We are building a network of churches in the Midwest that share our values, specifically... - That the Christian journey is not just about believing the right things (or even believing the Bible in some theoretical way); it’s about becoming like Jesus and being his hands and feet in this world. Jesus didn’t come to start a religion, he came to recreate human beings.
- That it isn’t enough to get people to show up at church— we must help them awaken to God in the depths of their souls and help them learn what it means to trust God with their hearts and follow Jesus by living in the forgotten way.
- That we can no longer afford to ignore the nations or our poor brothers and sisters; we must live out the Gospel holistically and sacrificially for those in need. Matthew 25 says God will be discussing this with us before his throne.
