Real Life Groups

Many people think that “church” means attending a worship service together, but Jesus’ idea of church was a community. And not just any community, but a community of friends who have decided to care about each other, to do the journey of life together, and to walk the road with Christ together. And the reality is that you can’t “share the journey” with a couple hundred (or thousand) people. But you can share it with a group that fits in someone’s living room.

That’s what a Real Life Group is—10 to 20 friends who get together, eat dinner, laugh, tell stories, care about each other, and grow together. People don’t always get into one of these groups right away when they first start coming to LifeSpring, but you don’t want to wait too long, because this is where you will really make some good friendships.

What Do Real Life Groups Do?

Most groups get together two evenings a month (different groups meet on different days). They have dinner together, then they usually have a Bible study or discuss some other book they are reading together, and they may sing or pray a little together. Every group kind of takes on its own flavor. Sometimes a group will set aside studies and discussions for awhile to focus on some way they are reaching out to help other people.

So don’t be shy...come make some friends by getting connected to a group. You can find info. on all the groups and leaders in the display at LifeSpring on Sunday mornings. There are email addresses for the leaders so you can get in touch and ask them any questions you have about the group!
